Privacy notice
What we collect, and what we do not.
Last updated: 14 May 2026.
Who we are
SpinUp Forge Ltd is a UK company registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Wimbledon, London, UK. Company number: 16672142. ICO registration is pending. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, SpinUp Forge Ltd is the data controller for any personal data we hold about you.
What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it to us directly. Specifically:
- When you email us at hello@spinupforge.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it in the message, and the contents of your message. This is processed under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (responding to enquiries) or consent (where you have asked us to follow up).
- When you engage us professionally, we collect the information needed to deliver the work, typically your name, business email, role, organisation, and any commercial or strategic information you share with us in the course of an engagement. This is processed under the lawful basis of contract performance.
- When you connect with us on LinkedIn, LinkedIn's own privacy notice applies to that platform's data; we receive only the information LinkedIn shares with us through its interface.
What we do not collect
- We do not set any cookies on this website. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
- We do not run analytics, ad pixels, retargeting tags, heatmaps, session recording, A/B tooling, or any other third-party tracking script. The site contains no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar, no Segment, no equivalent.
- We do not buy or sell personal data, and we do not subscribe to data-broker lists.
How we use the information we hold
We use personal data only for the purposes you would expect from the context in which you provided it: to respond to enquiries, to deliver work we have been engaged to do, to issue invoices, to keep accurate accounting and tax records as required by UK law, and to keep you informed about work that is in flight on your behalf. We do not use personal data to send unsolicited marketing.
Where we store information
Personal data we hold is stored on UK and EU servers operated by reputable providers used for our email, document, and accounting workflows. We use named processors for these services (mail, document storage, accounting) and only the minimum data each requires to perform its function. Where any processor is located outside the UK or EU, we rely on the appropriate transfer mechanisms required by UK GDPR.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails are retained for up to twenty-four months from the last exchange and then deleted unless an active engagement exists. Engagement records, contracts, deliverables, invoices, correspondence, are retained for seven years following the end of the engagement, as required by HMRC for tax records and as expected by professional indemnity insurers. We delete promptly anything outside those retention windows.
Your rights
You have rights under UK GDPR to ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to provide you with a copy of it, to correct it if it is wrong, to delete it (subject to our legal retention obligations), to restrict how we use it, to object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing hello@spinupforge.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of sixteen.
